This year’s Annual Meeting was held in Bilbao, Spain hosted by our member institute Forensic Science Unit of the Basque Country Police (FSU). The director José María Yurrebaso Sestafe and his colleagues organized amazing meeting conditions and an exciting cultural program.
On 11th May 2016 ENFSI started with the Thematic Day with the topic “How to fit forensic supply with demand”. The Business Meeting was held on 12th and 13th May 2016 and 56 member institutes were represented.
One of the highlights were the adoption of the Council Conclusions on EFSA 2020 into ENFSI’s Action Plan for 2016-2017 as well as the election of two new Board Members, Kornelia Nehse (Forensic Science Institute Berlin, Germany) and Dariusz Zuba (Institute of Forensic Research Krakow, Poland). Thomas Andermann (BKA Wiesbaden, Germany), whose period as a Board member ended, was thanked for his excellent committments which smoothed the way for the 20th ENFSI Board.
